1 Apologies for absence
Apologies were received from Cllrs Higglesden and Craven & CCC Cllr Taylor
2 Declarations of Councillors Interests regarding items on the Agenda
Cllr Chandler declared an interest in any discussions regarding the Upstreet Village Hall proposal
There were no other declarations of Cllrs interest regarding items on the Agenda

The Minutes of the Meeting held on 30th June 2016 were agreed and signed

Letter received from anonymous Parishioners re alleged dumping of building waste at Puddledock Wood, Nethergong Hill – Clerk to forward concerns to CCC asking they investigate

Letter to be sent to CCC should remain as commercial use as concerns re lorries in the narrow lane and joining the busy A28

Letter to be sent to CCC objecting to the application – inappropriate over development of the site and community does not wish to lose a viable equestrian facility

There was a general discussion about the emerging proposals. It was agreed that the Clerk would draft and circulate a questionnaire to send to Parishioners asking for their views. To be discussed further at the next meeting

Cllr Brant reported on his recent meeting with a representative of SECAMB regarding the possible siting of defibrillators. It was agreed that Cllr Brant would research prices and training options – to be considered at the next meeting

There was a general discussion about speeding along North Stream but agreed little could be done
The Clerk was asked to report the damaged/bent Upstreet Village Sign on the A28 as you approach from Canterbury

It was noted that the Ramblers Association may be able to assist with footpath issues
The Clerk was asked to contact the Canterbury free paper and request that supplies are reinstated to Hersden & Upstreet Post Offices

It was agreed that the next Meeting would be held on Thursday 25th August at 7.30pm in The Chislet Centre, Chislet
