There was an attempted entry to an empty and partially derelict dwelling in Upstreet on Saturday which was prevented by a neighbour who alerted the land owner. The activity seemed to be drug related rather than squatting or burglary but it serves as a reminder to be aware of suspicious activity in our remote villages.
